The moment you pick this rod up you know it is a quality piece of kit. Middy call it a "Genetic Carbon Live" action, and there is no doubt it will tame the most lively of fish. Incorporating original S.I.C. guides a screw down Hi top reel seat and a full cork handle it is class stuff. There are no fancy gold effect touches - just to look flash - just high quality fittings. We have never known flash gear to win matches - it's how it works not how it looks. Having said this these do look class! The action is a stong tip action but with plenty of bend when put to the test, and reel lines of 5lb pose no problem. They are also ideal for use on carp fisheries.
